Educators seek out opportunities for leadership to support student empowerment and success and to improve teaching and learning.

a. Shape, advance and accelerate a shared vision for empowered learning with technology by engaging with education stakeholders.
b. Advocate for equitable access to educational technology, digital content and learning opportunities to meet the diverse needs of all students.
c. Model for colleagues the identification, experimentation, evaluation, curation and adoption of new digital resources and tools for learning.
Reflection
The ISTE Standard #2 focuses on how an educator can lead a revolution of change. It is important to stay informed about new advances in technology so that you can advocate that your district, school, or team adopt them into practice in the classroom. In order to be a leader, one must set the example and promote the reasons as to why others should join in the action. In order for educators to spark a change, they must practice what they preach and advocate for enhanced learning experiences. Proving to administration, parents, students, and co-workers that technology integration is beneficial and important can lead to the equitable access to educational technology. I believe that it is the job of every educator to experiment and try new tools in their classroom to allow for an ever changing educational experience for each student that they impact.
Artifacts for Standard: Vision Statement
"My classroom is inclusive, cohesive, functional, and collaborative so that we can design our future and inspire others. We focus on advances in STEM while learning life skills and application strategies for outside our learning environment. Everyday we will utilize technology to maximize our daily workflows and communicate with other as digital leaders, agents, interactors, learners, and self."
